as well as plan and execute new building projects

across 50 acres of undeveloped land.

Galilee Bible Camp is seeking a Facilities Manager who is passionate about serving Christ through excellence in maintenance, hospitality, and stewardship. This full-time ministry position plays a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment where campers, churches, and retreat guests can grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

  • Full-time employee of InFaith

  • Operates under InFaith policies, procedures, and mission

Reports To:

  • Executive Director – Primary Oversight

  • Regional Director (InFaith) – Secondary Oversight

Position Overview

The Facilities Manager oversees the care, maintenance, safety, and readiness of all camp buildings, grounds, equipment, and infrastructure. This individual provides hands-on leadership in facility maintenance while coordinating volunteers, managing projects, maintaining compliance requirements, and supporting the overall ministry of Galilee Bible Camp.

Core Responsibilities

 

Facilities Maintenance & Operations

  • Maintain all buildings according to a scheduled inspection and maintenance plan

  • Identify and complete repairs in a timely manner

  • Keep detailed maintenance logs and equipment inventory

  • Ensure all tools and equipment are safe, functional, and organized

  • Submit requests and proposals for major repairs or improvements

 

Grounds Management

  • Oversee and coordinate all groundskeeping activities (mowing, trimming, landscaping)

  • Schedule and supervise volunteers or complete work personally as needed

  • Ensure camp grounds are consistently safe, clean, and visually appealing

 

Safety & Compliance

  • Obtain and maintain Small Water Systems License

  • Perform required water testing and documentation

  • Assist in maintaining overall camp safety standards

  • Identify and address potential hazards proactively

 

Guest Readiness & Turnover

  • Prepare facilities for incoming groups using cleaning and setup checklists

  • Ensure buildings are fully operational and welcoming

  • Oversee shutdown and cleanup after group departure

Volunteer Coordination

  • Recruit, schedule, and supervise maintenance and cleaning volunteers

  • Maintain a current volunteer contact list

  • Foster relationships to encourage ongoing volunteer engagement

 

Project Management

  • Coordinate facility-related projects in collaboration with the Executive Director

  • Oversee execution of approved projects using staff and volunteers

  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope

 

Ministry Involvement & Promotion

  • Actively participate in the mission and ministry of the camp

  • Visit churches, pastors, and individuals to promote camp programs

  • Attend staff meetings and collaborate with leadership on ministry planning

 

Administration & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate logs, inventories, and compliance documentation

  • Prepare quarterly and annual reports for board meetings

  • Submit required paperwork in a timely manner

 

Leadership Support

  • Assist in operational continuity by supporting or filling in for:

  • Executive Director (as needed)

  • Program Director (as needed)

Education & Experience

  • Experience in facility maintenance, construction, or related field

  • Ability to perform hands-on physical labor

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Experience leading or coordinating volunteers preferred

  • Willingness to engage in faith-based ministry context

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, and operate equipment

  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
