JOB DESCRIPTION: Shall be a volunteer for GBC sponsored events

 

​RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Have certified training by Campbell County Health Department.

 

• Keep an accurate calendar of all GBC sponsored events.

 

• Establish a budget for adult events based on a per person per meal cost.

 

• Establish a budget for summer youth camps based on a per person per meal cost.

 

• Create menus.

 

• Prepare shopping lists (do comparison pricing to secure best prices).

 

• Purchase items.

 

• Secure adequate volunteer staff with approval from the Program Director.

 

• Train and supervise kitchen staff.

 

• Supervise all preparation, serving, clean up, and storage of food.

 

• Maintain an inventory of food items—dry and refrigerated.

 

• Maintain organized storage of food items—dry and refrigerated.

 

• Make sure all safety requirements are followed in temperature, in preparation, while serving, for storage, and during clean up, Etc.

 

• After the Health Department inspection, make all necessary corrections.

 

 

**Could be available, if desired, to be hired by GBC rental groups.

Terms and fees would be determined between the head cook and the rental group, with the approval of the GBC Executive Director. This would be a totally separate arrangement and agreement than GBC sponsored events.
